For those that knew him, its been a little over a year since Dan and his wife were struck by a drunken driver while walking their dog near their house in Navarre, Florida.

That person is now serving a long time in jail. He actually fled the scene and was not apprehended until the next day.

Dan was a quiet monster. Very meek, but very powerful. He was pursuing an active side-career in body-building and was close to going professional.

Dan was on my first crew after I made staff. He was a one-striper and the quietest dude I ever saw in the AF. He ended up being one of the most exceptional people I ever worked with. I had dinner with him and his wife at Helen Back in FWB almost exactly a year before they were struck down.

I really hate the fact they left us; they were both really good people.
