and been trying to close Eddies for 8 frickin years!! Out in 3 months 19 days.

Douglas in Saudi, and with Boeing on the F-22 program (Boeing really bites it

86-Aug 03)I have been trapped at Hill AFB, Utah. Worked in all three Fighter
Squadrons(4FS/34FS/421FS), as a Loader, Maintenance troop, Expediter, NCOIC-WPNS-Maint,
Section Chief and Production Superintendent,also did about 3 years in Quality
Assurance and 5 total years in Weapons Standardization while assigned here.
For the last year, I have been filling in as one of three First Sergeants for
388 AMXS. Previously, I was stationed with 32 TFS, CNA, The Netherlands(Holland)(Oct
84-Oct 86). Before this, 39 CAMS, Incirlik AB, Turkey..before there was Operation
Norther/Southern Watch (Oct 83-Oct 84). First assigned base was 416 MMS at Griffis
AFB, New York (Nov 81-Sep 83), working on the Best "B-52's" The real 462's learned
their job at Lowry AFB, Colorado (Tech School).
Comments: Since here, I have outprocessed
to leave three times, sold two homes (made big money on these transactions),
only to be called up on leave and told to reurn to Hill AFB, Utah. Desert Shield/Storm
was the first reason I lost the assignment to TJ Spain, Never got the whole
story why Missawa was canceled, and Moody AFB, GA was cancled due to a shortage
of 7-levels here at Hill AFB? I'm won't believe that I'm PCSing until I arrive
to Port Ismailial, Egypt in December 03, this year! We (I was the 1-man)traveled
to Korea in 1992 and won 4 of 5 F-16 trophies and the overall Sabre Spirit competition,
also in 1993 we (I worked Maint) won the World Wide Gunsmoke Meet. Weapons Rules,
and don't forget it! "Without Weapons Troops (462's/2W1's), the Air Force is

in 1966, Westover AFB MA. Guam, Kadena, & Utapio 67-69. You guessed it by
now, 462 on B-52s. Probably the most gratifying job I ever did was to load a
Buff with 60,000 lbs of bombs and watch it take off, knowing it would come back
empty. “Loaders hate downloads”. Got out in December of 69 and joined the Air
Guard in 71. Worked F-4 Armament, Egress, Power Production, Ground Safety and
now in Weapons Safety. Still a member of the 187th Fighter Wing, Montgomery,
AL, - preaching that safety and production are not opposing forces. Y’all hang
in there.

Comments: I like the smell of burning JP-4/8 in the morning. I like
the roar of a Phantom. I like the looks on the faces of the LSC when you just
smoked their best times. But best of all, I like to look down the flightline
after a 12 hour shift and see 60 F-4s loaded balls to the wall with 12X MK 82s.

Comments: Crossed trained to computer programming
( better possibilities for job carryover on the outside) but with all the cool
TDY's to Deci Momannu, Cold Lake, Phillipines, and Turkey. I wouldn't give up
being a 462 for anything!!! Probably just would've been a 3-man sooner.
