civilian at Sheppard since 93.

Comments: A scant 2 years ago, i was told
that i was going to the desert, being stationed in tucson. What i did not know
was that tucson means a sunny kuwait vacation EVERY summer without fail. And
they wonder why they need to wave that much cash to keep us. Anyway, i would
like to let you all know, that Once a Bulldog, your always a Bulldog. "Join
the guard to escape deployment and persue education..." said 6 months
prior to a 90 dayer back at the Jab. Go Guard!

Comments: I was fresh out of tech school and stationed
at Elemendorf where I worked F-15's back when we only had one squadron, the
43rd. They nicknamed me Wren and I drank a lot and hung out with some good loaders
like Jim Roberts, Dave Sundin, Al Molter and Butch Abromcyk back when he was
a Staff. From there I got out early cause it just wasn't my bag, or so I thought
and went in to the reserves at Barksdale. I worked A-10's there for some time
in the 47th as a straight reservist. I was offered an ART (Air Reserve Technician)
job at Patrick AFB, FL., working on HH-60G Pavehawks. I had a blast, got my
"feet" and actually stayed sober enough to fly some with the 301st RQS. I became
the flight chief in 96' and our lil' rescue unit changed to the 920th RQG. Family
loss took me back to my beloved Louisiana and back to Barksdale AFB,LA. I went
back to a release shop position with the 917th MXS, but only for 6 months. That
back shop is for the birds,..lol. I swapped with a guy to go back to loading
and I'm now with the 93rd Bomb Squadron. I'm a 2 man now and they call me "Cheeto
da Bandito". I still party hard and still have a keg meister, life is good.
By the way, I'm on my second tour over here bombing Afgahnastain. Our fastes
DLO time for 12 JDAM and 27 MK-82's is 47 minutes! Don't beleive me, just ask
Chief Lang and Chief King from the 20 Bomb Sq. They were crazy enough to put
a couple of cases on the line! Ha, suckers!

year and ended up at Shaw. I've seen much change in our Air Force in these 21
